The 2010 Formula One Championship Presentation from Grand Prix Legends
Coming into the final race of the 2010 F1 season, four drivers were still in with a shout of glory. Hamilton looked to have the pace to challenge for the win he needed, but got caught for too long behind the excellent Robert Kubica, thus denying him his second title. Mark Webber’s afternoon never really got going, and once Fernando Alonso was caught behind the Renault of Vitaly Petrov, it became clear that it was Sebastian Vettel’s title to lose.
An emotional Vettel was in tears as he took the chequered flag to become the youngest champion the sport has ever seen, a doubly impressive feat when you consider the position he was in with just a few races to go.
To celebrate this fantastic achievement, we are delighted to announce that we will once again be producing our 1:18 World Championship Presentation, exclusive to Grand Prix Legends. The presentation will feature the Minichamps replica of Sebastian’s Red Bull RB6, mounted on a custom designed metal base complete with engraved name plaque and season results. For collectors of F1 diecast, this truly unique tribute to the 2010 champion really is a must have.

The new Valentino Rossi Bye Bye Baby T-shirt at Grand Prix Legends
As I’m sure you’re all well aware, this season’s Valencia MotoGP was Valentino’s last with the Yamaha team. Rossi joined Yamaha from Honda in 2004, and has helped move the team from mid-grid no-hopers to championship winning material. Rossi has taken the MotoGP crown on no fewer than four occasions with Yamaha and has won, ironically, 46 races.
To mark the end of this highly successful era, Rossi sported a fantastic T-shirt on the podium which had the ‘Bye Bye Baby’ logo on the front, and a caricature of Rossi kissing his beloved YZR-M1 on the back, something he did after both his first, and last races with the team.
This morning, we were delighted to hear that this T-shirt will be added to the official Rossi collection, though there is only going to be one print run of it. It is therefore a limited edition, although it won’t be officially numbered. We hope to receive the T-shirts in early December, so it will make a great Christmas present for any Rossi fan, or indeed a nice gift to give to yourself!
Either way, you can order yours by clicking here. The price, by the way, is £32.99.
Recently, we came across a forthcoming charity event called The Great Escape 2, which is a two week motorcycle ride honouring the exploits of Squadron Leader Roger Bushell during the Second World War.
Bushell was the inspiration for the character portrayed by Lord Richard Attenborough in the film The Great Escape.
Naturally, being huge fans of both the film, and charity, we wanted to find out more.
Here are a few words from the organisers of this fantastic fund raising event, but please take a moment or two to visit their site to learn a lot more.
